Recognizing athletic trainers that contribute to health & safety innovation and improvement of worker experience across industrial environments.

Participation Eligibility:
Must be an IATS Professional Member
1-year minimum experience in the industrial setting
Collaborative or team‑based projects are eligible as long as the submitter clearly articulates their specific contributions and responsibilities within the initiative.
The initiative must have been implemented before August 1st, 2026.
The submitter must have played a meaningful role in designing, implementing, or evaluating the initiative.
1st Place - $400
2nd Place - $300
3rd Place - $200
Runner-Up - $100
Award Details
What We Are Evaluating
Wondering if your project is a good candidate? No initiative is too small! We are especially looking for ideas that go above and beyond standard practice—solutions that demonstrate thoughtful problem‑solving, measurable impact, and a clear benefit to your site or team.
Below are the criteria used to evaluate submissions. The judging panel will weight all four criteria equally:
Creativity
Originality of the idea; creative use of tools, assessments, or partnerships; demonstrates thinking beyond standard practice.
Impact
Scored using the hierarchy of controls—initiatives with higher‑level controls and meaningful ergonomic or productivity impact score higher than low‑impact PPE‑only solutions.
Scalability
The solution is repeatable across shifts, departments, or facilities, and the submitter demonstrates proof of scalability.
Documentation
Documentation is clear and easy to interpret. The narrative explains the rationale, progression, and evidence behind the initiative without ambiguity.
Selection Process
All completed submissions will be scored by a panel of experts based on the grading criteria above. The top FOUR scoring submissions will receive notice via email that they are a selected candidate by September 1st, 2026.
Finalists will have the opportunity to present their initiatives during a live, virtual event on October 15th, 2026 (4pm PST/7pm EST) where finalists will be voted on by an audience of their peers and prizes awarded.
